We Need a Little Christmas Now!

It's never too early to decorate and celebrate the Coming of Christmas!
These are my thoughts.

This is the time of year for debate.

We debate the choices in which to demonstrate to the world that we are Christians and Proud! Which decorations should I put up? A Star? A Nativity Scene? Which Christmas CD should I listen too? Who shall I invite to the Christmas Eve service and what songs shall we sing when we carol around the nursing homes? Which relatives will we spend our Christmas Day with? Who shall I buy presents for and how much shall I spend?

Christians don't debate about the thing that really matters-the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ- but rather when should we start celebrating the event?

Truthfully, we the followers who are named for the Christ child himself should be celebrating the coming of the Savior. Advent. I agree that it is a time of reflection, a time for waiting a time for realizing how much we need that baby to be born. A reminder to us that we can't do it on our own. Heaven is our Home only because of that dear baby's birth. But after the meditation of the day...can't we just celebrate? After all, we live in the 21st Century. Jesus was born more than a long time ago.

Some people think we shouldn't put up the tree until the end of Advent. Those Advent Extremists should open their eyes and stop the suffering. Jesus was born. He lived. He died. It's done. It's over and we thank God for sending His Son to us. We don't deserve Him but we've opened our hearts to Him and we live only through Him.

So I say "PUT UP THOSE DECORATIONS retail stores! Play the elevator versions of "Mary Did You Know?" and "Joy to the World". Christians go ahead and sing those Christmas Carols all year through!" The sooner the better!!!!! The More the Merrier! Give me a reason to smile and proclaim my faith of Jesus Christ as my one and only Savior, to anyone who will listen. He was Born like you and me! Tell the world.

DO NOT VOCIFERATE!

MEDITATE!

CELEBRATE!

DECORATE!

REITERATE!

I am so glad each Christmas Eve,
The night of Jesus’ birth!
Then like the sun the Star shone forth,
And angels sang on earth.

The little Child in Bethlehem,
He was a King indeed!
For He came down from Heaven above
To help a world in need.

He dwells again in heaven’s realm,
The Son of God today;
And still He loves His little ones
And hears them when they pray.

I am so glad on Christmas Eve!
His praises then I sing;
He opens then for every child
The palace of the King.

When mother trims the Christmas tree
Which fills the room with light,
She tells me of the wondrous Star
That made the dark world bright.

She says the Star is shining still,
And never will grow dim;
And if it shines upon my way,
It leads me up to Him.

And so I love each Christmas Eve
And I love Jesus, too;
And that He loves me every day
I know so well is true.

He is our Risen Savior who was born for us.
We get to tell HIS story again and again and again!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
