Every Thanksgiving she used to stop the talking, the silliness, the teasing of all those who were gathered at the table. She waited and shushed until all was silent. Then she prayed. She prayed for those of us who couldn't make it that day, and she prayed for those who were less fortunate than us. She gave thanks for the God blessed life that we had together as a family. Now it's my turn.
